The form is a presentation with active participation of the attendees with content on Definitions and concepts.
  • The different kind of processes, concerns and people: Project management, engineering, finance, business
  • Supportive versus productive processes
  • Techniques and tools
Provide a list of “skills” of interest
Takes the form of an initial presentation after which the attendees are invited to give their input and quotation on the following questions:
  • Why do the financial people, the project managers, users and technical people not understand one others?
  • The project manager, the man with too many hats?
  • Does it help really to hire THE hero?
  • From attendees’ experience
  • What is the customer’s point of view?
  • Has the situation changed lately?
  • May a Project manager use some techniques to improve his understanding of the business context? Which ones?
  • Do the tools play a key role? • e.g. how a PPM tool plays a central role between ERP, HR and capacity management
Summary of the result, which “skills” are the most suitable at which level of knowledge
