15:20 How best practices and competences help understanding the project management craft

Introducing the best practices within OPM3 through a high exposure project, constantly inviting the audience to interact and share thoughts.

The Noord/Zuidlijn Project in Amsterdam is a high exposure project. Since long in The Netherlands it has been subject of public discussion, and in the past years it has been formally investigated by several committees.

Robbert van Alen explains why this project is not about project management but about organizational project management. And why this is relevant to judging it, either formally or informally.

Robbert mirrors the Noord/Zuidlijn Project to the organizations of the audience, to create a new perspective on the role of project managers. A perspective on constructing environments within which project managers can excel to their full.

Learning goals summary.
To understand the concept and power of organizational project management, based on PMI’s OPM3 (Organizational Project Management Maturity Model) and IPMA’s ICB v3.0 (IPMA Competence Baseline).
