15:20 Recovering a project using SCRUM

This session is about taking over a project that was in trouble: scope not clear, budget overrun, a lot half developed but nothing delivered. What do you do in such a situation? We chose to draw the Scrum card deck although there was hardly experience with this in the organisation.

This session will show how Scrum was introduced in the project team, how it recovered the project, how results were delivered fast and according to expectations, how it led to deliver a realistic overall planning and renew stakeholders commitment. It also will enlighten some problems with using an agile methodology and the struggle about the role of the project manager.

Explicitly some time is foreseen for discussion.

Learning Goals:

  • Learn how to use Scrum to recover projects.
  • Learn the difference between traditional and agile approach.
