| PMO set up for privatizing, restructuring & automation program within a Saudi Arabian Governmental Organization |
|
This presentation will verse on the set up of a PMO for a Saudi Arabian Governmental Organisation, the exploration & harmonization of processes & people and the lobbying to get to the final roadmap for this huge program, where all-the-best of the PMBOK was linked to best practices coming out of COBIT, TOGAF, ITIL, etc … Next to the factual PM-story, this presentation will give you a glance at the daily elements of life/work/eat/drink/pray-habits in Riyadh and the impact these elements have on the project & the team. This was a very special cross-border and cross-cultural challenge in making an international team of SWCC-staff and consultants work together with a dispersed team of European & American specialists, in order to serve a Saudi client who is impatiently right … Living & working in the heart of Islam, where the person next to you could be a member of the religious police and where being wrong could be an insult … while on the other hand generous hospitality, respectful negotiations and ambitious drive for learning rule the game …
Please do open your mind & heart !
