The first project manager created in some 7 days order from chaos. From this achievement we may not conclude that any complex system or situation can be managed as a project. When do we speak about complexity and how SMART can we make complex situations? How can you manage complexity or maybe are there any reasons to refrain from managing complexity? Does complexity create borders for project management?

In this presentation we will dwell some time in the cross-field of complexity and project management. We will explain some of the basics of complexity through everyday examples. We will link modelling and understanding to predictability and manageability. And we will indicate where project management and complexity meet each other.

Both not being a science, nevertheless both asking for craftsmanship and understanding.
